Founders and Directors, Dean and Laurie Hubbs
Dean and Laurie lead the Marriage Mentors United amazing team of Mentors.
Dean Hubbs is retired both as a Marine Corps Officer and as a Vice President for SAIC.
Laurie is a Licensed Professional Counselor and relationship coach. In April of 2006, Dean and Laurie were asked to create a marriage mentor program at McLean Bible Church. Combining Dean’s leadership skills with Laurie’s counseling expertise, they created a comprehensive set of materials for Christian marriage mentoring programs.
Dean and Laurie led the program at McLean Bible Church from 2006 until 2008 when Dean’s job relocated them to Charleston, S.C. For the next two years, Dean and Laurie traveled from Charleston, S.C. to McLean Bible Church for a few days every six weeks to train new marriage mentor program leaders. At the end of that time, Dean and Laurie turned the reins of the McLean program over to the capable hands of the core group of mentors. Under the direction of Randy and Kathy Allen, and Ron and Renee Parker, the McLean Marriage Mentor Program continues to thrive under their new leadership.
Dean and Laurie continue to live in Charleston SC in the community of Daniel Island. They have now been married for 32 years. They recently visited with all the Washington DC area Mentor Programs where 6 church campuses were represented and the leadership all came together for a wonderful 2 day conference in March of 2015.

Randy and Kathy Allen
Randy is a retired Fairfax County, VA, police officer and currently employed as a Criminal Justice teacher at a local high school. Kathy works with Special Education students at the elementary level.
In the spring of 2006, Randy and Kathy began as one of the founding couples of the Mclean Bible Church Marriage Mentoring Program under the direction of Dean and Laurie Hubbs. It was their desire as empty nesters to find a ministry in which to serve as a couple. Based on their life experience, Randy and Kathy became passionate about sharing their “marriage mileage” with other couples. They look back on their marriage and truly feel that every direction they took was directed by God to prepare them for this ministry. With the tremendous resources provided by the Hubbs, Randy and Kathy have continued to help lead and teach other couples how to live a better God honoring marriage and a closer walk with Jesus Christ in their lives. They feel strongly that this very successful ministry will help strengthen America one marriage at a time.
Randy and Kathy currently live in Northern Virginia and have two adult children. They have been married for 40 years.

Ron and Renee Parker
Both in their second marriages, Ron and Renee are passionate about saving marriages; they know first-hand the destruction divorce wreaks on individuals and on families. They also know the shattered trust and pain caused by a spouse’s infidelity.

Renee is an architect, worked for the Department of Justice and now is in the construction industry. Both love to travel and have visited most parts of the world. Ron is fluent in French.
Ron and Renee credit following God’s design for marriage in helping them achieve a rewarding and fulfilling marriage, so in 2006 they became one of the first couples to join the new marriage mentor program at McLean Bible Church, eventually becoming master mentors. Additionally, they are currently conducting marriage mentor training at a church in La Plata, MD, with other McLean Bible master mentors.
Ron and Renee are also coaches for Family Life’s National Capitol Region “Weekend to Remember” team and just finished teaching mentoring skills to other coaches.

Bob & Carol Brotherton
Our journey as husband and wife began on June 19, 1976 when we shared our marriage vows in our high school hometown of Malvern, Pennsylvania. Through nearly four decades that have followed, we have been blessed with two sons (Jason and Scott) and our daughter (Stacy). All of our children were raised in Centreville and baptized at CBC after moving to Virginia in 1987. Each, now married to loving spouses of their own, have collectively blessed us with seven beautiful grandchildren–soon to be eight.
As husband and wife, we have learned many "lessons" while navigating through life's challenges with the typical ups and downs. Through it all – marriage, child-rearing, career building, ministry service, and our ever-growing faith – we believe God has been preparing us and calling us to come alongside younger couples to encourage and equip… We are excited to serve together in this important, impactful ministry.

Bob and Debby Sibert
Bob retired from the FBI as a Special Agent Senior Executive in 2003 after 34 years of service, and Booz Allen Hamilton Consulting in 2015. He is now an Independent Contractor supporting the DHS Science & Technology Directorate’s Chemical and Biological Defense Division. Debby has created and sold some online businesses and is currently selling some of her own branded products on Amazon.
When it was announced at McLean Bible Church that a new Marriage Mentoring program was evolving, Bob and Debby saw this as an opportunity to pay forward the many blessings they have experienced in their 36 years of marriage and have been serving in that ministry since its inception in 2006. Along with the great resources provided by Dean and Laurie and the foundational truths that scripture taught them as they prepared and seek to live out their wedding vows, they feel like God has taught them many scriptural insights that they love to share with couples whether they are struggling or just seeking to enhance their marriage journey.
Among other ministries at MBC, Bob and Debby host and lead a couples’ small group in their home and are leaders in the Re|Engage marriage ministry at MBC. They also regularly serve on Tres Dias spiritual enrichment weekends. Bob and Debby live in Northern Virginia and have three grown children, all married, who have blessed them with eight beautiful grandchildren.

Cary & Vicki Casola
Marriage is one of God's greatest gifts to humankind. It is often like an epic adventure filled with great challenges and moments of fear and uncertainty, but when we keep God at the center of our lives and marriage, we find the courage we need to climb to the mountain top. Reaching the summit together and experiencing God's amazing creation defines who we are and gives us purpose. We thank God that He gives us someone special to share life with together.
With 36 years of marriage experience, Cary & Vicki Casola have a passion for serving as guides for couples who want to make it successfully to their marriage mountain top. They train couples to rely on the Holy Bible as a their trail map; teaching them the importance of praying together for unity and strength; the value of Christian fellowship for developing skill, knowledge and endurance; and how serving others develops character and eternal rewards.
Cary is a video producer/director for the federal judiciary, and Vicki is a retired nurse. They have two grown children, and one grandchild. They live in Southern Maryland, enjoy being new grandparents, summer and winter sporting activities, and serving in marriage ministry at New Life La Plata.
